As a registered educational charity Bankside Gallery needs your support to help develop its exhibition and educational programmes.

Opened in 1980 by Her Majesty the Queen, Bankside Gallery celebrates the very best in contemporary water-based media and original print through exhibitions by artists from the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter‑Printmakers.

Our work is informed by a love of works on paper, and the belief that art should be accessible to all. Please support us by enrolling as a Friend today.

Remember that Friends’ membership is also the ideal gift for all art lovers, with discounts on framed and unframed artworks, and purchases from the bookshop, together with reduced fees for talks and courses.

For further information about Friendship benefits please download our brochure here.

Please e-mail us on or call 020 7928 7521 to join as a Friend today.

We would welcome donations of whatever value.

Each gift will make a real and important difference in developing our exhibition and learning programmes, and improving our facilities.

If you would like to support us but have other priorities at the moment, a charitable bequest allows you to make a lasting contribution without immediate financial outlay.

Legacies of any amount are most welcome - no gift is too large or too small. Your gift will make a difference to our present and our future.

We recognise that every company is different and we would like to create a bespoke relationship with your business. You might like to sponsor an exhibition or maybe hold a regular corporate event at the Gallery. You may prefer to fund a painting workshop for a Southwark school, or maybe you would simply like to offer a prize to an up and coming artist at a Royal Society exhibition. Whatever your preference we would be delighted to forge a mutually beneficial partnership with you.
